In one particularly nasty monsoon storm, half of our fence blew down. The question became do we spend money repairing a fence that will be replaced, or shell out the money now. You can see what we chose.

The overgrown, scraggly oleanders had to be cut down to install the new fence.
More fun with a chainsaw. Don't worry, these came back bright and bushy the very next year. Unfortunately we moved the fence in about 3 feet from the lot line to make fence install easier, so our neighbor gets to enjoy them.
